TOUR OVERVIEW

In this package you will visit Rome and explore the treasures of the Vatican, including St. Peter's Basilica, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Square, then on to Florence where you will experience a walking tour of a city called the "cradle of Renaissance" and a visit to the famous Duomo and walk along the Ponte Vecchio. You will take a train ride north to the city by the Grand Canal - Venice - where you will have a walking tour revealing the history and architecture of the city, where you will visit San Marco's square and the Bridge of Sighs. You can explore on your own by taking a gondola ride on the Grand Canal or visit the islands of the Venetian lagoon.

ITALIAN TRIO starts in Rome on select dates.

  • DAY 1

    ROME

    Upon arrival in Rome, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. A Homeric Tours representative will contact you to set up your orientation meeting.

  • DAY 2

    ROME

    Today explore the treasures of the Vatican, including St. Peter’s Basilica, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Square on your guided tour. Afterwards, you will have the chance to explore the heart of Rome on your own.

    ROME / FLORENCE

    After breakfast, you will be transferred to the train station for a high-speed train ride to Florence. Make your way to your hotel in Florence. In the afternoon, explore the city on your own.

    SIENA / SAN GIMIGNANO / PISA / CHIANTI

    Journey through Tuscany’s iconic landscapes, beginning in Pisa. Admire the beauty of Piazza dei Miracoli with its Baptistery, Cathedral, and Leaning Tower. Continuing through Chianti's picturesque lands, pause in San Gimignano to explore its history and stunning views. In the UNESCO heritage city of Siena, discover its Etruscan roots and medieval rivalry with Florence through guided walks, highlighting treasures like the Duomo, Baptistery, and Torre del Mangia. The tour concludes with a Chianti winery visit for wine tasting. Overnight in Florence.
